self-esteem/friendship - designed to help children identify strengths, enhance self-esteem, and develop social skills
anger management - designed to help children develop strategies to handle anger in a positive way.
conflict resolution - designed to help children develop strategies to solve interpersonal conflicts; emphasizes appropriate expression of feelings, communication skills, and problem solving techniques motivation and goal setting - designed to help children recognize the value of setting goals and working to achieve them Banana Splits - designed to help children who are experiencing difficulty with divorce and separation issues
Relational Aggression
designed to help young girls be pro-active in their friend relationships.
Children may be referred for Group Counseling by a teacher, parent, counselor or principal.
A multi-media approach utilizing books, art, discussion, videos, structured games, etc. is employed throughout the group.
Groups will meet for 6 - 10 weeks.
Parental permission is required for participation.
