The PTO has put in place Grade Coordinators for DSE this school year. It is already being successfully used in many organizations. Our intentions are to allow the teachers to focus more on students and their classroom, while creating less distraction from planning non-academic events. This will also allow a more involved network of teachers, parents, and students. Teachers will recruit their own Room Parents (at each teacher's discretion), PTO Board Members have been assigned as Grade Coordinators. The purpose is to assist, answer questions, help in and out of the classroom, spread information, coordinate volunteers for specific grade events, raise spirit, etc.
Parents and teachers may contact their Grade Coordinator for any non-academic school activities. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact your Coordinator, or board members Stephanie Wolpert or Heidi Lyons.
